Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food , Energy and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.21%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were 11BIT (WA: 11B ), which rose 4.15% or 9.00 points to trade at 226.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ) added 2.77% or 0.19 points to end at 7.05 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA: CPS ) was up 2.73% or 0.38 points to 14.28 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA: CCCP ), which fell 1.73% or 3.40 points to trade at 193.30 at the close. Text SA (WA: TXTP ) declined 1.35% or 0.80 points to end at 58.40 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA: PEO ) was down 1.05% or 1.85 points to 175.10.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 292 to 232 and 108 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.11% or 1.53 to $70.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.97% or 1.51 to hit $74.97 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 3.90 to trade at $2,952.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.04% to 4.16, while USD/PLN rose 0.46% to 3.98.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.57.
