Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Saturday, as losses in the Telecoms , Oil & Gas and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 2.71% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were PhosAgro PJSC (MCX: PHOR ), which rose 1.80% or 105.00 points to trade at 5,932.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PIK SHb PJSC (MCX: PIKK ) added 1.46% or 7.20 points to end at 501.00 and Magnit PJSC (MCX: MGNT ) was up 1.23% or 54.50 points to 4,470.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ADS Ozon Holdings PLC ORD SHS (MCX: OZONDR ), which fell 6.30% or 234.50 points to trade at 3,486.50 at the close. TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin (MCX: TATN ) declined 1.63% or 10.10 points to end at 608.10 and Aeroflot PJSC (MCX: AFLT ) was down 1.35% or 0.90 points to 65.56.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 48 to 29 and 2 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 0.58% to 49.43.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 2.76% or 86.30 to $3,035.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 7.41% or 4.96 to hit $61.99 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 6.50% or 4.56 to trade at $65.58 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.47% to 84.50, while EUR/RUB fell 0.39% to 92.57.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.95% at 102.77.
