Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media , Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ), which rose 3.39% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Synektik (WA: SNTP ) added 2.24% or 4.60 points to end at 210.40 and 11BIT (WA: 11B ) was up 2.10% or 4.40 points to 214.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alior Bank SA (WA: ALRR ), which fell 4.54% or 5.10 points to trade at 107.20 at the close. Allegro (WA: ALEP ) declined 1.76% or 0.60 points to end at 33.23 and LPP SA (WA: LPPP ) was down 1.28% or 200.00 points to 15,400.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 284 to 250 and 99 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.39% or 0.19 to 5.92.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $62.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $66.57 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.81% or 60.56 to trade at $3,288.04 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was up 0.26% to 4.28, while USD/PLN rose 0.41% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.36.
