Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials , Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.96%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian SpA (BIT: PRY ), which rose 6.30% or 3.02 points to trade at 50.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Interpump Group (BIT: ITPG ) added 5.19% or 1.56 points to end at 31.64 and Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ) was up 5.13% or 2.35 points to 48.15 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DiaSorin SpA (BIT: DIAS ), which fell 1.49% or 1.50 points to trade at 99.00 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT: TRN ) declined 1.28% or 0.11 points to end at 8.66 and Italgas SpA (BIT: IG ) was down 1.11% or 0.08 points to 7.16.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 418 to 135 and 48 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.54% or 0.91 to $58.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.26% or 0.78 to hit $61.35 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 14.44 to trade at $3,236.64 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 99.64.
